The inauguration of the tenth edition of the concert season “Incontri Musicali Mediterranei” will take place at the Cathedral of Crotone on Saturday, October 17, 8.30 pm. The programme includes the first segment of Beethoven’s Concerts for Piano and Orchestra. Alessandro Marano will be at piano, accompanied by the string ensemble of Incontri Musicali Mediterranei conducted by Lodi Luka. They will execute the great German composer’s concert piano and orchestra n.3 in C minor op. 37. Then next date is Sunday, November 8, at 8.30 pm. The chosen venue is once again the Cathedral of Crotone, and this day’s programme includes selected music from Mascagni’s “Cavalleria Rusticana”, Leoncavallo’s “The clowns” and Puccini’s “Tabarro”. All music will be performed by the soprano Teresa Mustacchio and the tenor Franco Ruggieri, featuring Lodi Luka at the piano.
