From Hollywood to Catanzaro, from Sunset Boulevard to the Red Carpet extended along a new location within the Port: arrives the 13th edition of the Magna Graecia Film Festival, with international stars Matt Dillon and Matthew Modine, but not only them.
Violante Placido, Milena Vukotic, Alessandro Haber, Matilde Gioli, Francesco Pannofino, Melissa Marchetto, Mauro Mazza, Ninni Bruschetta and Santino Cardamone will be among the protagonists at the event created and directed by Gianvito Casadonte. The film festival is dedicated to the first international directors works and being held from July 23rd to the 31st, 2016 in the newly renovated Porto Turistico of Catanzaro.
The program this year will be dedicated to Ettore Scola, one of the fathers of Italian cinema who died in early 2016, who has often attended the Magna Graecia Film Festival, helping to grow and establish itself as a key event for Italian cinema. The program includes ten films in competition, all first films: “La terra dei Santi“ by Francesco Muraca, “La Macchinazione“ by David Grieco, “Abbraccialo per me“ by Vittorio Sindoni, “Antonia“ by Ferdinando Cito Marino, “Il matrimonio” by Paola Salerno, “On Air” by Marco Mazzoli, “Il bambino di vetro” by Federico Cruciani, “In un posto bellissimo” by Giorgia Cecere, “Un posto sicuro” by Francesco Ghiaccio and “Ridendo e Scherzando” by Paola e Silvia Scola.
The judges of the 13th edition of the Magna Graecia Film Festival are Alessandro Haber famous film and theater actor; director, screenwriter and film producer Francesco Lazotti, Alessandro Roja known face of cinema and fiction; and the journalist and former director with Rai Uno Mauro Mazza.
Significant also in the program of the MMGF events: July 23rd there will be a live performance of Viola (Violante Placido), July 26th the concert of Killacat, July 29th the exhibition of the singer/songwriter Antonio Pascuzzo, followed by the concert of Eman July 3oth, then concluding with the live performance of Santino Cardamone on July 31st.
