Paolo Belli is in Brattirò, will be in the province of Vibo Valentia, with the 2016 tour #sialodatalamusica, for all lovers of fun and swing music, on Tuesday, September 27th from 10 pm in Piazza Fratelli Rombolà. The live performance, with free admission, is part of the billboard of events planned for the celebration of Saints Cosmas and Damiano, and is organized in collaboration with “Fatti di Musica 2016,” the thirtieth edition of the Miglior Live d’Autore (best live author).
Paolo Belli’s show and Big Band has an engaging rhythm and is pure fun, a winning mix of music and hilarious gags involving his musicians as well as the audience. Not just a concert, but a real show, topped off by the inimitable and unmistakable style of Paolo Belli, and the rousing rythm of swing, plus lots of fun. There will also be an homage to some of the artists who have influenced his career, including Renato Carosone, Enzo Jannacci and Paolo Conte. The #sialodatalamusica is repeating the success of the tour, which in recent years was the protagonist on stages all over Italy, with a growing appreciation by audiences and critics, in 2015 reaching a “record” of 50 concerts throughout the peninsula.
Accompanying Paolo Belli will be his Big Band consisting of: Mauro Parma (drums), Enzo Proietti (piano and hammond), Gaetano Puzzutiello (double bass and bass), Peppe Stefanelli (percussion), Paul Varoli (guitars and banjo), Pierluigi Bastioli (trombone and tuba), Nicola Bertoncin (trumpet), Daniele Bocchini (trombone), Gabriele Costantini (alto and tenor), Davide Ghidoni (trumpet) and Marco Postacchini (flute, sax baritone and tenor).
Belli’s’ artistic history has been extrardinary. Since the release of his first album Ladri di biciclette, (The Bicycle Thief), at the end of the 80s, Paolo Belli has won the acclaim of an increasingly vast and varied audience, exporting the “Beautiful Sound” outside the Italian borders (in particular, South America, Canada, Switzerland, Austria, England, Czech Republic, Egypt and Spain).
In addition to hundreds of concerts, three times in Sanremo and two wins at Festivalbar, Belli also has the satisfaction of having worked with prestigious artists such as Sam Moore, Dan Aykroyd, Billy Preston, Jon Hendricks, Jimmy Witherspoon, Vasco Rossi, Piero Chiambretti, Enzo Jannacci, Fabio Fazio, Litfiba, Red Ronnie, Paolo Rossi, Gialappa’s Band, Mogol, Avion Travel, P.F.M. and Mario Lavezzi.
Paolo Belli has also always been committed to solidarity through the association “Rock No War,” the “Italian National Singers” and other initiatives that can contribute to the less fortunate. In recent years, the innate sympathy and his flexible personality have allowed him to combine, both as a musician and showman, television and theater, well-known personalities of the Italian television as Giorgio Panariello, Carlo Conti and Milly Carlucci, in the most successful shows on Rai1.
In Brattirò there promises to be an extraordinary celebration of music with one of the most beloved artists of music and Italian television.
