Round Table: Urban renewal, public works and participatory processes

yescalabria_tavolarotonda_01On Friday, June 10, 2016 at 5.30 pm, in the Sala Conferenze dell’Ordine degli Architetti Pianificatori Paesaggisti e Conservatori of the province of Reggio Calabria and in the context of the Review,”PUNTI DI VISTA_laCittàPubblica” the Round Table discussion re Urban Renewal, public works and participatory processes.  The Review “POINTS VISTA_LaCittàPubblica” promoted by the Order of Landscape Architects and conservationists for the province of Reggio Calabria, hopes to bring an open dialogue among administrators, associations operating in the area and the professional world on the theme of cities, now always more in crisis, to launch and promote urban policies and absent participatory processes, yet indispensable for “Designing processes of transformation in the city and in the area that take the plurality of the actors not as an obstacle, but as a resource for the implementation of effective interventions.”  In this first meeting, Angela Marciano, Councillor for Public Works – Large projects – Urban furnishings for the City of Reggio Calabria will answer questions on the topic of Urban renewal, public and participatory processes in an open debate with Paolo Malara, National Council of Urban Landscape Architects, Domenico Cappellano, Regional Console TCI for the Calabria Italian Touring Club and Patrizia De Stefano, President of the Order of Urban landscape architects for the province of Reggio
