Award for innovation to ViaggiArt at Confcommercio 2015

A prestigious award was given to the Calabrian company ViaggiArt.

The company, which deals with promotion of culture and tourism through an app that allows users to discover cultural and sight-seeing opportunities, as well as tourist attractions and services in their area, has won the “National Award for Service Innovation” 2015 by Confcommercio.

The Prize is awarded to the best innovation experiences identified amongst those awarded in a national competition organized in the industry and services, university, and public administration and service sectors. ViaggiArt in April 2014 was recognized as the best Italian tourist start-up during RepNext, the Republic of the ideas of Matera, the innovation festival sponsored by the newspaper La Repubblica.  It also received the Telecom award during the BestPractices event organized by Confindustria Salerno and dedicated to the most innovative Italian companies.

At the award ceremony, which took place in recent days in Rome, ViaggiArt also brought its experience to the Forum of Young Entrepreneurs of Confcommercio, now in its eighth edition, illustrating its business model and its corporate experience in the development of cultural assets and networking systems of artistic excellence, which include the larger resorts and small villages of the Italian peninsula.

“Receiving such an important award – explains Giuseppe Naccarato, sole director of Altrama Italy and founder of Viaggiart together with Stefano Vena – is a dream come true for us, however, it is living proof that if you engage in and strongly believe in what you do, you can achieve important results. The award honors us and makes us proud today, but it is a prize especially awarding the beauty of Italy: we do nothing but attempt to enhance what is already there, thanks to the work of a great team of employees who are committed to giving voice and prestige to the infinite beauty that surrounds us.”

The application aids the user to download the cultural attractions that are within walking distance, allowing you to choose which to visit and create a route through the navigator. You can also discover and learn about the cultural events, exhibitions, conferences, and concerts nearby, and share them with friends.
